Spring Rain Barrel Workshops
Save money and water: learn to take advantage of the many benefits of rain water harvesting. Rain barrels collect untreated water that can be used for indoor and outdoor plants, birdbaths, the garden and lawn to create a more livable, sustainable community.
The City of Grove City and Keep Grove City Beautiful are hosting evening and weekend rain barrel workshops for residents of Grove City and Jackson Township only, this spring at the Gantz Farmhouse, 2255 Home Road.
- Wednesday, May 14, 6:30-8 p.m.
(Black, granite, terra cotta and moss)
During the workshop, participants learn the importance of water conservation, the use and care of rain barrels and how rain barrels are made and installed. The workshop fee of $50 includes a ready-to-be installed, 60-gallon black rain barrel with diverter; participants should be prepared to take it with them. For an additional $10, participants can upgrade to a 60-gallon decorative rain barrel with diverter.
Registration is required. To sign up for a workshop, visit the Grove CIty Parks and Recreation online registration page or call the Grove City Parks and Recreation Department at 614-277-3050.
