Parks, Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan

The Parks, Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan was completed in 2011 to guide the development of parkland, recreational offerings and departmental organization. The intent of this plan is to provide decision makers with a comprehensive understanding of existing conditions and a policy framework to advance the parks system and recreational programs offered by the City.

In the spring of 2010, the department began formulating an update to the 2006 Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Plan. The updated plan was created through extensive input from the public as well as a series of analyses conducted by staff in order to understand the needs of community.

Grove City Council accepted the plan at the July 5, 2011 meeting.
